I just read your post over at dot moms, and had to come check out your blog.

I couldn't agree more with you. I have one daughter, who is 5 and will be starting Kindergarten this fall. I want to spend as much unscheduled time with her this summer while i still can!

Aside from one week in july of space camp, we have nothing planned!

By the way... I also live in an old house, we were told 80-100 years old.. i LOVE it :)

hope ya don't mind if add you to my links on my site, which is www.coffee-mom.com

Sounds like a great summer to me! Maybe I won't sign the kids up for swimming lessons this year, maybe we'll just go play at the pool.

Boredom is what let my imagination run wild, and what led me to be a voracious reader. I think it's a great plan.

Very well said Chris! I scheduled swimming lessons. That's it. Oh wait! I did sign the older two up for Library Fun for a week in June. That's it. Really.

I think too much pressure is placed upon kids. We need to sit back and let them be sometimes. My favorite times are when the boys come up with some imaginary game to play. I love the stuff they come up with. (Though wrapping the baby's feet with masking tape I could have lived without...)
