A Riddle For You

What is stronger than the will of a two year old?

More powerful than the jaws of a one year old near a medicine dropper?

Able to wipe out your bank account in a single day?

Cry over your empty wallet!
It's not a cough! It's not the flu!

It's STREP THROAT!

Fortunately for us, Strep has yet to hit our crew. We did have a violent round of stomach flu in our house this past week-children AND adults. It pretty much put depleted our funds as well.

Kleenex with Aloe Vera and Aspro Clear to sip .... I too have this nasty ailment as we speak. I hope it does not spread through the family.

We went to the pediatrician today to see if what my son has is strep throat. Nope, it's just the latest bug going around. Still have to pay $90 for the strep test and antibiotics won't help.... Not fun.

I feel for you - we have spent $165 in doctor and drug copays this week - and this is for two kids, not seven. This is why we shell out a grand a month for health insurance...

We are currently on Round #2. The first batch of medication didn't do the trick, therefore, we have upped the artillery. And the cost. I am losing this battle I do believe...

Second only to mono in its unrelenting quest for every single penny you own -- not to mention the exhaustion and putrefying tonsils.

Hope you all feel better very soon. Strep is miserable.

One advantage of living here (she said, as she sat in her overpriced house looking out of the window at the sleet) is the free health care ...
