Why, no I don't think I am over reacting. Why do you ask?

Updated to add: If you want to be a "friend" on my flickr contact list you have to sign up for your own flickr account. It's free, easy, and you don't have to put up any photos if you don't want to. When you add me as one of your contacts I will be notified and can then add you as a friend. I realize that there are still some public photos over there. The rest are marked private for now.

Perfect. I thought you might have gone with the black bar over the eyes but then he'd just look like a Glamour don't.

Cute! Of course, there is probably a whole subset of weirdos who enjoy looking at pictures of short, mysterious French men.

I still have the photos set to private, because it took so much work to change them all and I just don't have the attention span to change them to friend only. Because we have snow. And OHMYGOD, this has never happened before and we are all going to perish!!!

Chris, I have come up with an idea that is at least some protection. There is a way to disable the right-click function of your web page, making it harder for someone to copy your page.... Here is the webpage to read about it and get the code http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex9/noright.htm
I think I will try that on my page. The down side is that somone can't 'open in new window' from your page.....

When I read your blog yesterday I was deeply disturbed. I enjoy posting pics on my blog but would hate to think that anything was happening like you mentioned.

Owlhaven-thank-you so much!!!! I was searching for something like this yesterday. I just tried it on my blog and it worked! Thank-you, thank-you! I feel so much better.

Hee! Hopefully he won't see it, and decide it seems like a good look for him.

I'm pretty sure you're one of my contacts, so, yay! I do love seeing your photos.

You'll know you've gone too far and are in trouble if he starts reading Ginsberg and drinking black coffee.

I'm so sorry that you have to go to these lengths because there are wackos out in the world.

Also a person can see get around the "block right click" trick by using the print screen button on the keyboard ("prt scr") and then pasting into paint shop or a similiar program and cropping back down to the picture.

So I guess the moral of the story is deciding what you feel comfortable sharing with the world and what they might do with it.

Katie,
You are right. I can get around the "block right click" trick by using the capture screen function in paint shop pro. Anything you put out there on the internet can be misused.

This is just crazy! I have your blog and a few others for a couple of months and enjoy hearing and seeing your children. I have 2 daughters and it scares the heck out of me. We are originally from the Chicago area and moved to Florida a couple of years ago. Thinking that being away from the big city you are safer. Well last week a friend of mine sent me a link to a web site that will tell you where sicko of children under the age of 16 live and are registered with the state. www.familywatchdog.us and I was shocked how many live less then a mile from me. It is a terrible feeling that we cant trust anybody out there. You never know what intentions people have. It is too bad we have to live like this. I dont have a blog and the way I can comment is only anonymous. I do have email and it is mrs_snappy@comcast.net Thanks again for all the great bloges. Patty:)

OK, count me as a friend when you figure it all out.

How did you find out that your daughter's pic was a favorite?
