Uploaded pictures from our kayaking adventure

The kids had such a great time. There aren't too many pictures since I was concerned with the whole drowning aspect of it. But I managed not to freak out by counting to seven over and over and over again.

He looks like a pro. We love kayaking here, too. (getting cold now though).
My 9yo has gotten to be quite good, no eskimo roll or anything yet! ;)

Wow, looks so beautiful! I would love to try kayaking; is it harder or easier than caneoing?

Annalise,
I have heard that kayaks are much easier to paddle and navigate. It would seem to be true since they are so much smaller and lighter. I didn't get to use a kayak since I was watching my two littles on the shore.

That looks like fun (and terrifying). Brent and Darren went kayacking in Maine last year and I couldn't go because I was 5 months pregnant and wouldn't have fit in one of those tiny little boats.

Ok, the muscles on your son are OUTRAGEOUS. I can't even paddle around a pond, I don't understand how they can!!!

Yeah, I'd be losing my ever-lovin-mind too. But what a cool memory for him even if it did scare the bejeezus out of mommy, right?
